| Everyone wants healthy bone
But not everyone knows that bone is a living tissue that
is continually being damaged by osteoclast cells and rebuilt
by osteoblast cells throughout the lifespan. Without lifelong
bone care, the activity of bone destruction rapidly surpasses
bone formation, and bone will resulting in "low bone
mass" that leads to an increase in the risk of fractures,
particularly of the hip, spine, and wrists.
Different People have Different Bone Remodeling Processes
The body builds new bone by osteoblasts and breaks old bone
by osteoclasts throughout your life span, which is called
bone-remodeling process. During each stage of life, the balance
between the activity of osteoblasts and osteoclasts changes
depending on age, gender, and hormonal status. Thus, bone-remodeling
process is uniquely different at each stage.
